Description Found in sand flats of lagoon and seaward reefs. Feeds on sand-dwelling invertebrates. The venomous spine can inflict a painful wound. Disc width 40 cm. Apparently rare. May be caught using longlines (Ref. 5213). One of the most commercially important rays in the Western central Pacific (Ref. 9840). [details]
