Biology colonial, free medusae [details]
Diagnosis Medusa 6 mm, 4 mm wide, pyriform; thic, solid apex. Manubrium cylidrical, half as long as bell cavity, four short, crinkled lips; gonads almost to ring canal. Two very long tentacles with swollen, conical bulbs; two rudimentary bulbs; no clubs or cirri. [details]
Status Kramp (1961) regarded it as a species inquirenda. However, some good photos of Australian medusae exist which indicate that at least the genus is valid, the species may be valid or there are perhaps even several similar species. [details]
