A branchiuran parasite, Argulus monodi Fryer, 1959 was recorded first time from the freshwater fish Labeo rohita (Ham.) captured from Haleji Lake Sindh in Pakistan. Argulus monodi is a rare species and was only reported from Africa and India. This is the first report on the occurrence of this species from Pakistan.
