Diagnosis Heliometrinae with centrodorsal hemispherical or low rounded conical, with 50-100 crowded sockets. Cirri slender, with 12-23 cirrals; longest cirral with LW ratio up to 4. Vestiges of basal rays sometimes present and fused to centrodorsal. Spinose midaboral knob or ridge on some proximal brachials. First pinnule with as many as ~40 flat, round, well-developed comb teeth; weaker comb sometimes on second pinnule. [Originally in Comasteridae based on well-developed comb. Transferred to Antedonidae by Messing (1981), who suggested, following Gislén (1924, p. 229, footnote), that it most closely approached Heliometrinae.] [details]
