Diagnosis Test discoidal to biconcave, proloculus followed by planispirally enrolledand evolute undivided tubular second chamber, chamber floor convex; wall calcareous, microgranular layer reduced in early species and without lateral thickening, entirely lacking in later ones so that the wall consists only of the clear, fibrous radial outer layer, without lateral thickenings; aperture circular, at the open end of the tubular chamber.
