Distribution Central coast of the Yucatan State, Mexico; northeastern continental shelf of the Yucatan Peninsula. [details]
Ecology Caribboecetes progreso has only been collected on sandy bottoms and it has been found in empty gastropods shell, mainly of the genus Olivella. It has a depth range from the intertidal zone to shallow continental shelf (19.6 m). [details]
Etymology The species name is derived from the type locality of the species; Progreso, Yucatan State, Mexico. [details]
