PREVER (1912) was the first whose good quality figures on the species could be identified, his specimens however are not topotypical. 66 years later it was SIROTTI (1978) and later SETIAWAN (1983) who described and depicted topotypical specimens from Priabona. In our opinion, GUMBEL'S (1868) "applanata" was correctly identified with WEIJDEN'S (1940) "augustae" and the latter name became so widely used in the literature of Orthophragminae that we abolish it for the sake of a-denomination that was not used for 66 years and was practically forgotten."
