In this contribution the extremely complex taxonomy of G. marginata is addressed. Several new species are recognised within the complex (but now in Notogynaphallia): N ernesti, N. graffi and N. abundans. G. marginata s.s. is placed in Pseudogeoplana, following Ogren et al. (1992).
