Status Already in 1882, Graff doubts the placement in Anoplodium, because of lack of adequate description. Cuénot (1892) just mentions the species could as well be a species of Syndesmis. Later, Graff (1913) more or less discards A. clypeasteris and S. clypeasteris by using the "orginal" Derostomum sp., which was used by Moseley (1872). The names were not used anymore after 1913 and can be considered nomina oblita. See also Stunkard & Corliss (1951). [details]
