Taxonomic remark Myrionema hargitti (Congdon, 1906) is distinct from Myrionema amboinense, the hydranths of the former are much smaller. 16S genetic data confirmed this (unpublished) [details]
Taxonomy Briggs & Gardner (1931) emended the suffix of the specific epithet to amboinense corresponding to neuter gender of genus name. [details]
