Taxonomy This species is probably synonymous with Phoronopsis harmeri. However, this species differs from Phoronopsis harmeri in several important anatomical details: it has oblique collar, specific swollen head region with thin integument, one funnel of nephridia, and unusual morphology of the nephridial duct.
