This paper is a contribution to the study of the family Polynoidae (Polychaeta) from the Canary Islands. The material examined has been collected by the authors from 1975 to 1989. A total of 18 species was found belonging to 8 genera:
Gesiella (1),
Polynoe (1),
Adyte (1),
Subadyte (1),
Harmothoe (11),
Alentia (1),
