Etymology Fauvel announces on the first page of his article that H. perezi is dedicated to M. Ch. Pérez, who collected the worms off the Arabian coast. [details]
Type locality Pearling banks (within 24°55'N - 25°10'N, 54°40'E - 55°10'E) dredged ~15 miles from the coast of Oman (currently near Dubai, UAE) (Fauvel 1918:329). A point map estimate is 25.0417°, 54.9167°, the mid point of the bounds given by Fauvel [details]
