Taxonomy Pettibone (1957, 1963) considered the genus Phylo Kinberg, 1866 as a subgenus of Orbinia Quatrefages, 1866. However, most authors considered the two genera as being valid and distinct. The relationship between the two genera is very close, but it is not completely solved (Bleidorn, 2005). [details]
