[details] Habitat Usually one male and one female within each Calyptogena kilmeri clam, found between gill lamellae and the foot, except for some specimens (SIO-BIC A1375, A1384) found in another host, Vesicomya gigas. The specimens living within V. gigas are morphologically very similar to those living within Calyptogena kilmeri. [details] Morphology Sexually dimorphic, with males uniformly pigmented pink, females longer and wider, with larger midbody notopodia full of yellow oocytes. Females’ body usually longer than males . First segments with one groove ventrally located on the base of each parapodia that are more conspicuous in females.
