Fusulinids recovered from the lower Antler overlap sequence in north--central Nevada indicate an early Atokan age for the Battle Formation in the Antler Peak area as well as for the partially equivalent Highway Limestone and lower Etchart Formations on Edna Mountain and Lone Butte. Correlations with the Elko and Ely areas are made. Stratigraphically significant taxa are documented, and one new species, Pseudostaffella humboldtensis, is named.
