Homonymy Unreplaced homonym to Spirorbis tridentatus Levinsen, 1884, which was originally a variety as S. granulatus tridentatus, and is now an accepted species in Spirorbis [details]
Taxonomy In her remarks Bush suggests this species might be Spirorbis lamellosa Lamarck, 1818, indeterminable from the description, but collected from nearby King Island. That species is currently Neodexiospira lamellosa (Lamarck, 1818) [details]
Type locality Port Phillip, Victoria, Australia, associated with Spirorbis inversus on the bryozoan Menipea cirrata [details]
