Spelling Minor usage with misspelling, but first noted by Nomen Zool. from an occurrence in a genus key by Chamberlin (1919:166), intended to be Alluaudella Gravier. More significantly, later Day (1967:279) made the same spelling error in his widely used monograph on South Africa Polychaeta, when he included Alluaudella madagascariensis, a repeat of Gravier's original Madagascar record, without new records.
