Etymology Not stated. The specific epithet angusticollis is a New Latin adjective (from angustus, 'narrow' + collum, 'neck', 'stem'), meaning 'having a narrow neck', and refers probably to the narrow peristomium of the type specimen, described as "Lobus cephalicus segmenta 2 proxima longitudine aequans, fronte mediocri, postice sinuatus" (Kinberg, 1865: 169).
