Etymology The specific epithet parapionosylliiformis, formed by the name of the syllid genus Parapionosyllis and the Latin combining form -iformis, meaning 'having the form of', refers to the morphological similarity of the new taxon with the species belonging of the genus Parapionosyllis. Spelling The unusual double ii in 'parapionosylliiformis' is the correct spelling as in the original description. Hartmann-Schröder writes the species name three times, each with a double ii. Usages with a single i (as in the recombination into Parapionosyllis of Verdes, Aguado & San Martin, 2013) are incorrect subsequent spellings. [details]
