Etymology The species is dedicated to the French zoologist and polychaetologist Dr. Pierre Louis André Fauvel (b. Cherbourg, France, 8 October 1866 - d. Angers, France, 12 December 1958). [details]
Habitat The types were collected on a beach of the Baitarani River (India), while other specimens were collected in the brackish regions of Chilika Lake (India), and Tha Chin River and Songkhla Lake (Thailand). [details]
Type locality Indian Ocean, India, Odisha (= Orissa), Bytarani (= Baitarani) River, Haripur, Chandbali (= Chandabali) (geocoordinates not provided estimated with gazetteer to be approximately lat. 20.77º, long. 86.74º). [details]
