Classification Here in Hesioninae, although placement with respect to Hesionidae clades uncertain as apparent sister taxon to other genera. A later work (Ruta et al. 2007) suggest this is because Lizardia (with the non code compliant 'capricornia' LITU) has many plesiomorphic characters, combined with autapomorphic reproductive features.
