Status According to the description by Duchassaing (1850) this is not a biotaxon, a sponge, but a description of the bioerosion trace, the ichnotaxon (Entobia dissociata). The description could not conclusively be matched with a bioeroding sponge and the name should only be used in the ichnological context, as Entobia species. [details]
