Additional information Fischer, 1884 proposed the genus Temnaspis Fischer, 1884 under the family Poecilasmatidae. However, the name Temnaspis was initially introduced by Lacordaire, 1845 for the beetle family Megalopodidae (Insecta: Coleoptera: Polyphaga: Chrysomeloidea: Megalopodidae: Megalopodinae). So this name was replaced by Fischeriella in Jones & Özdikmen, 2008. The name Fischeriella was preoccupied in a taxon of mollusc. Koçak & Kemal, 2008 proposed the name Dianajonesia as the final replacement of Temnaspis and Fischeriella. (From Benny Chan) [details]
