Classification Erpenbeck & Van Soest (2002) transferred Ciocalapata almae to Halichondria (Halichondria), but Dirk Erpenbeck (in litteris, 2021) in an unpublished study of molecular sequence data found a close relationship of this species with Hymeniacidon and Amorphinopsis, and not with Halichondria. The proposed genus transfer is here reverted to the original classification. [details]
