Proceedings of the 1st Workshop on Atlanto-Mediterranean Sponge Taxonomy
The present paper deals with the material collected and sorted by Prof Helena Gamulin-Brida during different expeditions in the Adnatlc Sea. All the sponges were collected from the surface, mainly with dredges, from soft or detritic bottoms at 26 to 208m depth. Forty-one sponges were identified, in two cases at generic level only. The systematic position of Spongosorites pachastrelloides is here dIscussed.
