Distribution Elasmopus longipropodus sp. nov. is widely spread along the Brazilian coastline and continental shelf, including oceanic islands. [details]
Etymology The species name, longipropodus, refers to the elongate propodus of the male gnathopod 2, which distinguishes it from all the other species of the genus. [details]
