Taxonomic remark Giesbrecht, 1888 established Ctenocalanus (page 335), but no figures and no description presented. Giesbrecht, 1893 finally described the taxa. However, The diagnosis of the genus is very limited - but strictly it is sufficient to be considered as valid under the Code. The species description is even more limited - it is the length measurement only (although you could argue that the generic diagnosis obviously applies to the included new species). The depth and locality do not count under the Code. [details]
