New combination Day (1961) places Eumenia reticulata as a member of Hyboscolex after examining the type in the British Museum. He has a paragraph with the heading "Notes on the type of Eumenia reticulata McIntosh, 1885". However, it should be noted that despite placing the type as a Hyboscolex he doesn't actually use the name Hyboscolex reticulatus. However, later Kudenov & Blake (1978) actually list Hyboscolex reticulatus as a combination and cite Day (1961) as their authority for doing so. [details]
