Original description Test free, trochoid, planoconvex, compact, yellowish brown in color, finely perforated; dorsal surface in form of a low cone with a small prolocular chamber then three whorls of eight chambers each, surface of early chambers showing a heavy layer of translucent shell substance; sutures distinct, limbate, flush, wide comparatively, curving; periphery gently lobed; shallow, carina-like margin; ventral surface showing one whorl of eight chambers slightly inflated, umbilical plug slightly raised, heavy, thick, flat, hyaline; sutures ventrally curving, deep with well developed clefts, depressed; last formed chamber showing two indentations, one near periphery followed by a curving lip, the second one off the first suture at about one fourth the distance to periphery, possibly a remnant of a reentrant, the other seven chambers with a similar but smaller, thick, hyaline lip next to the umbilical plug leaving a series of traingular clefts at central area between the chambers and umbilical plug; primary aperture along base of last formed chamber.
