Diagnosis Rhopalonematidae without gastric peduncle; mouth with four oral lips, with numerous exumbrellar furrows; 8 radial canals; 8 ellipsoid pendant gonads on middle parts of the radial canals; only 8 interradial tentacles, short and stiff, cirrus-like, with swollen end; with 8 enclosed perradial statocysts.
