Etymology "This species is named in honor of the Patagonian region currently considered a “Hotspot” of biodiversity, being type locality for many marine species" (Soto et al., 2020: 150). [details]
Habitat Inside tubes (empty and occupied) of Chaetopterus cf. variopedatus, from boulders and mixed sediments associated to Macrocystis pyrifera (Linnaeus) C. Agardh, 1820 holdfasts in fjords, islands and channels (salinity 30.2-35 PSU; temperature 8.5-8.9°C), in shallow subtidal (14-30 m). [details]
