Diagnosis Straughan (1967:37) "Operculum a globular base with a flat, calcareous plate. Wingless, annulated opercular stalk. Small, bladed collar setae. This genus differs from Vermiliopsis and Conopomatus in that it has a calcareous opercular plate. The collar setae are different in shape from Spirobranchus collar setae." [details]
