Publication date Hartman Catalogue (1959:223) gives the species publication date as 1908, thus suggesting this part of the Academy volume for 1907 was not published until 1908. This may be correct, but the article was 'ordered to be printed' at the 19 November, 1907 meeting (see p.447), so could have been distributed in 1907, the date as used by Sardá & San Martin (1992) [details]

Synonymy Sarda & San Martin (1992:413) also suggest S. verrilli may be a synonym of S. setosa Verrill, commenting that "We believe that S. setosa and S. verrilli could be the same species but the lack of good descriptions of the tipus specimen of S. setosa does not allow us to be certain." [details]
