Remark According Reig Oriol (1995, p. 9), his newly created genus Pseudostylocora was a styliniid taxon, characterized by: polyps in branching-ramose integration; septa costate; septothecal wall; extracalicinal budding; styliform columella; the lack of both endothecal dissepiments and pali. However, the holotype of the type species as presented by Reig Oriol (1995, pl. 1, fig. 2) shows the fragment of a rather dendroid-phaceloid form that shows endothecal developments, thus very closely corresponding to Stylosmilia. Therefore, their synonmy is suggested. [details]
