Descriptions are given for three species of ectoparasites collected from sawfish, Pristis microdon, in freshwaters of Australia and Papua New Guinea. Two species of monogeneans were found on the gills of sawfish caught in Lake Murray, P. N. G.; Nonacoiyle prislis gen. et sp. nov. is different from all other members of the family Monocotylidae in having nine peripheral loculi of the opisthohaptor. and Pristonchocotyte papuensis sp. nov. (Hexabothriidae) can be differentiated from the most closely related species, P. intermedia Watson et Thorson, 1976 by the position of the vaginal openings. A parasitic copepod. Ergasilus sp. (Ergasilidae), found on the gills of sawfish from the Daly River, Australia, is different from four congeneric species known from Australian waters. The copepod was also found on barramundi, Lates calcarifer, and sawfish is considered to be an incidental host.
