Three species and two subspecies of Nebaliacea, new to Science, were caught in the area of Noumea (New Caledonia) : Nebalia melanophthalma n. sp., N. neocaledoniensis n. sp., N. daytoni brevicaudata n. subsp. and Paranebalialongipes neocaledoniensis n. subsp. They live in the sandy bottoms and sea grass-beds of the coral reefs except Sarsinebalia kunyensis n. sp., collected in bathyal bottoms on the South Coast of New Caledonia. A synoptic, table of some characters of the known species of the genus Nebalia is given.
