Taxonomy Occurrence of Pallisentis species in marine fish is unusual. Transition of size of proboscis hooks toward base is abrupt. It is to be noted that Gupta and Gupta (1979) have described P. clupe; from the same marine host Clupea longiceps at Quilon. In both the cases, the typical hooks and their transition of size are found to be similar with that of P. colisai. [details]
