Comparison Similar but differs from Bothrophoria in having P2-3, not P1-3. [details]

Diagnosis Corallum trochoid, with pointed base and circular cross section; GCD up to 7 mm; theca imperforate, but exteriorly pitted; costae beaded or serrate, originating by trifurcation; septa hexamerally arranged in 4 cycles; P2 and P3 present, usually fuse with a system; columella papillose. [details]

Remark This genus and family was monographed by Cairns (1997), which included a phylogenetic analysis based on morphology. The genus is monotypic and thus far is known only from the original description. [details]
