Un spécimen isolé d'Ostracode, déterminé par T. Scott (1899) comme Pontocypris? hyperborea a été découvert au Royal Scottish Museum. L'étude des valves et des restes des appendices montre que le matériel appartient au genre Acetabulastoma, et que A. littorale littorale Schornikov, 1970, constitue un synonyme plus récent d'A. hyperboreum (T. Scott, 1899).
