Echinolampas Gray, 1825 is a very common and widely distributed echinoid genus in the Tertiary sequences of Kachchh, ndia and is represented by as many as twenty three taxa of which six species are described as new in the present paper. Further, E. lucae (Desor) is reported for the first time from India. A few previously described species are redescribed in the light of recent taxonomic procedures. The distribution of the genus Echinolampas in Tertiary rocks of Kachchh is discussed and its stratigraphical significance established. It has been observed that the every epoch of Tertiary Period in Kachchh is characterized by a different suite of species of the genus Echinolampas.
