Cephalobothrium gogadevensis n.sp. is described from the spiral valve of Rhinobatus granulatus collected from Bay of Bengal, at Digha coast, India. It resembles the genus Cephalobothrium, which comprise the valid species C. aetobatidis, C. variabile, C. abruptum, C. rhinobatidis, C. subhapradhi, and C. stagostomi in shape, size and structure of ovary and in shape of scolex. However, all these described species differ from the one reported here for the first time.
