Thirty-three species of planktonic foraminifera, including one new species, are reported and illustrated from the upper Campanian and Maestrichtian sediments of the Pondicherry area, south India. Based on the stratigraphic ranges of these forms, two biostratigraphic zones and two subzones are recognised, defined, and correlated with the Globotruncana tricarinata, Globotruncana gansseri and Abathomphalus mayaroensis Zones of Bolli.
