The detailed foraminiferal data, especially based on the shallowest to shallow-marine benthic taxa, on some reference sections and key localities of Paleocene stages (Danian-Thanetian) in Central, northern and eastern Turkey is introduced. These reference sections and key localities were chosen by their completeness, accessibility and benthic foraminiferal content and they have been studied with respect to the lithology, biostratigraphy and the foraminiferal associations. In addition, Danian-Selandian species Haymanella sp., Selandian species Miscellanea? primitiva Rahaghi and Thanetian species Fallotella (Fallotella) kochanskae persica Hottinger & Drobne which have been previously described from the different localities of Turkey by Sirel, are renamed as Haymanella elongata n.sp., Akbarina primitiva (Rahaghi) and Dictyoconus baskilensis n.sp. respectively.
