Etymology The species is named to honour the work of Dr. Vivianne Solís-Weiss, ''and her leadership in the benthic ecology of polychaetes in the Gulf of Mexico'' (Salazar-Vallejo & Reyes-Barragán, 1900: 89). [details]
Habitat Estuarine environments, at shallow water in sediments associated with the roots of the marine grass Halodule beaudettei (den Hartog) den Hartog, 1964, and also associated with the red mangrove Rhizophora mangle L.. [details]
Type locality Laguna La Mancha, Veracruz, Mexico (19º38'N, 96º25'W; slightly displaced, corrected here to 19.587º, -96.386º), shallow water in sediments associated with the roots of the marine grass Halodule beaudettei (den Hartog) den Hartog, 1964. [details]
