A new macroforaminifer — Eclusia decastroi — from the neritic Barremian of Nurra region (NW-Sardinia) is described and figured. His stratigraphical position is discussed. This species is probably the direct descendent of E. moutyi Septfontaine from the Valanginian, having essentially more simple inner structures.
