Holocolax nemipteri (Pillai, 1973) est redécrit à partir de spécimens femelles collectés dans la cavité bucco-branchiale de l’hôte original, la cohana japonaise Nemipterus japonicus (Bloch, 1791) au Japon. Le copépodite III de sexe indéterminé de l’espèce, collecté sur le même hôte, est décrit pour la première fois dans le genre.
