A total of 16 species in eight families of Polychaeta are reported from the vicinity of deep-sea geothermal vents in the Eastern Pacific. Fourteen species and two genera are new to science. New genera and species include: Galapagomystides aristata and Hesiolyra bergi. New species of previously named genera include: Euphrosine rosacea, Protomystides papillosa, Orseis grasslei, Nereimyra alvinae, Hesiospina vestimentifera, Nereis sandersi, Ophryotrocha akessoni, O. platykephale, Exallopus jumarsi, Orbiniella aciculata, Scoloplos ehlersi, and Nicomache arwidssoni. New records and descriptive comments are included for Ceratocephale pacifica and Glycera profundi. Seven species occur at the Galapagos Rift vent sites, two species occur in sediments away from the immediate vicinity of the Galapagos Rift. Six species occur at the vent sites on the East Pacific Rise at 21°N and nine species occur in the vicinity of hydrothermal vents on the Guaymas Basin. Four species co-occur at two vent sites and three occur at all three sites.
