Diagnosis author: "Lateral auricles on median ceratophore with ventral ctenidia; microtubercles on surface of elytra confined to anterior and inner parts; long, simple and branched papillae submarginally and along outer margin of elytra; ventral cirri medially with branched papilla; heterocheligers and bidentate falcigers present." Etymology after characteristic arborescent-branched papillae on the elytra and the ventral cirri; gr. dendron = tree, lat. papilla = nipple. [details]
