Type designation Kennard & Woodward, 1923, Proceedings of the Malacological Society of London, 15(6): 302, 305, designated Clausilia rudis Bavay & Dautzenberg as type species; however, this was a nomen nudum at the time of Wagner (1920), and the name was not made available until Wagner (1922). Loosjes & Loosjes-van Bemmel, 1973, Annales Zoologici, 30(8): 307, 308, subsequently designated Clausilia acrostoma Bavay & Dautzenberg, 1909 [also an originally included species] as type species [details]
